I think that this is a known. If you are snacking on chocolate or salty snacks it is not the best on the waistline. However like this article TheSpec says, it is not really just about snacking, but what you are snacking on.
However even if people know what the “healthy snack” is they are not necessarily going to eat it. Snacking, if done right, is a great way of helping your body out of the feast/famine cycle and in the process elevate your resting metabolism. The reason being that your body will realize that is does not have to save food energy for later because you are always going to have access to food energy.
However if you are snacking on high fat/ high sugar foods the calories that you are consuming are going to be too high, and any benefit that you gain from the higher metabolism is going to be negated by the amount of energy available for your body to use.
The best meal plan would be to take the amount of food that you eat now in 3 meals and spread it out over the day and into 5-6 meals. The “middle” meals can be smaller “snacks” and you will find that you will raise your energy level and have much better appetite control.
If you have tried doing this for an extended period, make sure that you sign up and post a comment

Is strectching important? That is one of the questions that I have ask a lot of people over the years and I have gotten a lot of different answers.
When I was growing up stretching was a very important part of playing sports or doing any physical activity.

It is hard to think about anything to say at the beginning. This site really has only started and there is not too much to talk about.
I have a bunch of ideas for posts and internal articles lined up and when I get the time I will be sure to get them on here.
As for my personal goals for this site, I am looking to try to help people reach their goals, and ultimately reach my own.
A couple of my short term goals is to simply start eating better, and being more active. I have some “office fat”, similar to winter fat, but can accumulate at any time of year. For me it was August. I think that I am paler than one of those WOW gold miners (opps some geek coming out, I will try to refrain from that).
Anyway, I will try to get online once every couple of days and will be sure to post a weekly update to what I am doing and how my goals are progressing.

So, you found yourself here and I bet that you are wondering what this place is all about. Well this site is here to help you and those around you live a better life.
Canadians are getting bigger, and I don’t mean taller and stronger, but fatter. This is not good, it really hurts everyone in many different ways.
Some of the things that we post here will be about getting back into a healthy body, and others will be about simply coming up with ideas to live a “fuller” life. One that you can be proud of.
And by the way, I have a blog. I am going to be documenting my journey for all to see and I hope that you can relate. On the blog I will be posting about news, articles online, what I am doing, my goals and my progress for those goals.
If all of that isn’t enough I have some great plans for an application that you can use to help keep track of your life in this ever increasingly complex world. It is not revolutionary but it is a HUGE step up from a notebook.
So I hope that you enjoy your stay, and I welcome all of your comments.

I am starting to work on this site starting ASAP
This is going to be a great resource site on helping people learn how to live their life “well”.
Every Hoser loves their beer, but too much of a good thing will make you fat. To combat this you have to learn moderation and get out there and do something.
This is one of the problems that I have to and I am going to be documenting my run at getting into better shape and learning “HOW” to live life better.
